We all have a choice to make here on our journeys through life. Everyone of us has a conscience given to us by our maker to show us when we do right and wrong. The wrong things that we do make us fall short of the perfection our maker desires from us. God knew we could not live up to His expectations of us so He provided a way for us to reconcile ourselves to Him. He Sent His only Begotten Son to earth to be born of a virgin, so that He could pay the price for our wrongdoings. The price for our wrongdoings or sins is death. So Jesus God's Son died on a cross to pay the penalty of our sin, raising from that death to defeat it and thereby provides us with eternal life with God.
So the decision we have to make is to accept this free, for us, gift of salvation or to continue on and pay the price for our sins ourselves in Hell and eternal separation from God.
